Rural Land Sales - History

History

In the United States, the purchase of Rural Land or raw acreage is generally for investment purposes, although some buyers intend to build a home and reside there. Often without standard utility services readily available, alternative methods are used:

  • Groundwater
  • Propane
  • Septic tank
  • Solar power

Often, grazing rights are assigned to neighboring ranchers, so that they may continue to utilize the property for livestock grazing. Grazing rights may be appealed by land owners' and upon approval must install fencing along the perimeter of the property to enclose the area.

Land Auction

A method of performing real estate transactions is through auctions. Since the emergence of internet auction sites such as ebay.com, the visibility of Rural Land Sales has been made popular through rural land auctions.

Famous quotes containing the word history:

If usually the “present age” is no very long time, still, at our pleasure, or in the service of some such unity of meaning as the history of civilization, or the study of geology, may suggest, we may conceive the present as extending over many centuries, or over a hundred thousand years.
    Josiah Royce (1855–1916)

Throughout the history of commercial life nobody has ever quite liked the commission man. His function is too vague, his presence always seems one too many, his profit looks too easy, and even when you admit that he has a necessary function, you feel that this function is, as it were, a personification of something that in an ethical society would not need to exist. If people could deal with one another honestly, they would not need agents.
    Raymond Chandler (1888–1959)

Gossip is charming! History is merely gossip. But scandal is gossip made tedious by morality.
    Oscar Wilde (1854–1900)
