Roy Nelson (born June 20, 1976) is an American mixed martial artist who competes in the heavyweight division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship. He won Season 10 of Spike TV's The Ultimate Fighter. The September 30, 2009 broadcast of his fight against Kimbo Slice, officially an exhibition, is the 2nd most-watched MMA match in U.S. history. He was also the last International Fight League Heavyweight Champion. Nelson started off his martial arts training in Shaolin Kung Fu for a number of years and is a black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu under Renzo Gracie.
