Famous quotes containing the words rosie and/or barnes:
“Yet fairest blossome do not slight
That age which you may know so soon:
The rosie Morn resignes her light,
And milder glory to the Noon:
And then what wonder shall you do,
Whose dawning beauty warms us so?”
—Edmund Waller (1606–1687)
“We are beginning to wonder whether a servant girl hasn’t the best of it after all. She knows how the salad tastes without the dressing, and she knows how life’s lived before it gets to the parlor door.”
—Djuna Barnes (1892–1982)
