Personal Life
Rosa grew up in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, and is of Czech and Costa Rican descent. Roucka was a self-described "tomboy" growing up, and was once suspended from school for fighting. She is trained in kickboxing, Muay Thai and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Roucka cites Trish Stratus as her inspiration for wanting to be a wrestler. Roucka has a Chinese tattoo which consist of adorned with wings and a halo, on the right side of her waist. On May 18, 2012, Rosa was involved in a car accident that caused her whiplash.
She was previously engaged to a former WWE talent, Steven Slocum who was known as Jackson Andrews. After arriving in San Antonio on an August 5, 2012 flight, an intoxicated Roucka contacted the San Antonio Police Department to file battery charges against Slocum for an apparent domestic issue that took place prior to their flight at their Las Vegas home. Roucka told Police "That she was afraid her fiancé would try and kill her". She also stated "the abuse had been an on-going thing." Police on the scene took photos of Roucka's body, which showed scratches and bruising from the incident. Roucka was absent from RAW the following night and has presumably been given time off to recover.
Roucka's favorite TV Show is Ultimate Fighting, movies are Goodfellas and Casino, and the band Heat. Roucka loves lifting weights and boy shorts. Rosa describes the perfect date "would have to be something during the day. I would love to go hiking in the mountains and look at waterfalls, then grab lunch and then change, go out for dinner and get to know each other better. No kissing on the first date. I never do that. That would be the perfect date—something outdoors"
On April 22, 2013 it was announced that Rosa was sent home from WWE's European tour do to personal problems at home. Mendes later commented on the incident writing on her Twitter writing Just wanted to let all my #Mendesluverz that I'm ok. I had to take care of some personal matters. Thank you for all your support. Love you... I also encourage everyone to continue #MuscleMania. It has helped me in the past and it will still be helping me now. #Determination. The WWE later revealed that Rosa would return once she has settled all of her personal issues.
