From February 2011 to August 2011, Bloom served at the White House as the Assistant to the President for Manufacturing Policy. Prior to holding that role, Bloom served at the Department of the Treasury, first as a Senior Advisor to the Secretary of the Treasury and member of the President’s Task Force on the Automotive Industry and subsequently as Senior Counselor to the U.S. President for Manufacturing Policy.
