Romulus Community High/Middle School is located on Merriman Road, south of Eureka Road in Romulus, Michigan (former site of Merriman Elementary). The school is also a school of choice and draws students from many surrounding districts. The school mascot is a lion. School normally will begin later than the other schools' time.
It has a few sports at the school. Basketball and Football (were the ones when I studied there). The League is under Michigan Alternative Athletic Association. Near this decade (2008 or so) Romulus Community High School were state champions in Basketball. In 2010, the Football team received 2nd in the State Tournament.
Famous quotes containing the words community, high, middle and/or school:
“This is the only wet community in a wide area, and is the rendezvous of cow hands seeking to break the monotony of chuck wagon food and range life. Friday night is the big time for local cowboys, and consequently the calaboose is called the Friday night jail.”
—Administration in the State of Texa, U.S. public relief program (1935-1943)
“I wandered lonely as a cloud
That floats on high oer vales and hills,
When all at once I saw a crowd,
A host, of golden daffodils;”
—William Wordsworth (17701850)
“For hours, in fall days, I watched the ducks cunningly tack and veer and hold the middle of the pond, far from the sportsman;... but what beside safety they got by sailing in the middle of Walden I do not know, unless they love its water for the same reason that I do.”
—Henry David Thoreau (18171862)
“The difference between de jure and de facto segregation is the difference open, forthright bigotry and the shamefaced kind that works through unwritten agreements between real estate dealers, school officials, and local politicians.”
—Shirley Chisholm (b. 1924)
