Romanian Passport

Romanian Passport

The Romanian Passport gives its bearer the right to exit and enter the country through any of the border passing points, opened to the international traveler traffic. Outside Romania, the passport gives the bearer the right to assistance and protection provided by the diplomatic missions and consular offices of Romania. The passport is the property of the Romanian state.

The Romanian passport is the official travel document issued by the Romanian Ministry of Interior and Administrative Reform, through the Community Public Service for Issuing and Evidence of the Simple Passports (Serviciul Public Comunitar pentru Eliberarea şi Evidenţa Paşapoartelor Simple), to Romanian citizens who have the right to travel outside Romania. Romania has begun issuing its biometric passport on 31 December 2008.

Famous quotes containing the word passport:

It is better to pay court to a queen ... than to worship, as we too often do, some unworthy person whose wealth is his sole passport into society. I believe that a habit of respect is good for the human race.
    M. E. W. Sherwood (1826–1903)
