Sexual Abuse
In 2004 Fr Michael McQuillan, who had been a chaplain at a County Armagh school, was convicted of 40 offences against children between 1986 and 1993. In 2010 the bishop confirmed that an un-named parish priest in the diocese had "agreed to take leave from his ministry" whilst being investigated on child protection issues.
