The song was released as the second single from the group's ninth studio album Fly Like an Eagle in 1976 (see 1976 in music). The North American release of the single was credited to Steve Miller, while the European release was credited as Steve Miller Band.
The song was the band's second #1 hit on the Billboard Hot 100, where it stayed at the top for 1 week, and also topped the RPM Top Singles chart in Canada.
The song is a playable track on the video game Rock Band 2 and on Tap Tap Revenge 3 for iOS.
