Computer Games
The Rocketeer was also adapted for a computer game (Rocket Ranger) for Commodore Amiga and also PC machines. Using digitized sound and 256-color VGA graphics, it consists of a sequence of several levels, each of them in different action style, and the story is carried between levels with comic book-style strips and spoken dialogue. A version of this title later appeared on the Super Nintendo.
There is also a game for the NES, a side-scrolling platform jumping game closely based on the movie adaptation.

Famous quotes containing the words computer and/or games:
“Family life is not a computer program that runs on its own; it needs continual input from everyone.”
—Neil Kurshan (20th century)
“In 1600 the specialization of games and pastimes did not extend beyond infancy; after the age of three or four it decreased and disappeared. From then on the child played the same games as the adult, either with other children or with adults. . . . Conversely, adults used to play games which today only children play.”
—Philippe Ariés (20th century)
