Rock 'N India

Rock 'N India is an annual music festival organized by DNA Networks at the Palace Grounds in Bangalore. The first festival was held in 2008, with heavy metal headliners, such as Megadeth and Machine Head. The venue for the event consists of two stages at an angle of 45° facing towards each other. It is divided into two sections, the concert area which has a capacity of around 20,000 spectators and a festive area. After two successful years with heavy metal headliners, the promoters decided to draw in a wider audience and changed the festival's direction by inviting pop artists such as the Backstreet Boys. This move ultimately failed and was heavily criticized by both critics and rock fans.

Famous quotes containing the words rock and/or india:

Nobody dast blame this man.... For a salesman, there is no rock bottom to the life. He don’t put a bolt to a nut, he don’t tell you the law or give you medicine. He’s a man way out there in the blue, riding on a smile and a shoeshine. And when they start not smiling back—that’s an earthquake. And then you get yourself a couple of spots on your hat, and you’re finished. Nobody dast blame this man. A salesman is got to dream, boy. It comes with the territory.
    Arthur Miller (b. 1915)

But nothing in India is identifiable, the mere asking of a question causes it to disappear or to merge in something else.
    —E.M. (Edward Morgan)
