Purpose and Focus
The purpose of the foundation is exclusively non-profit. It is both operative and grant-giving. In its activities, the foundation concentrates on four subject areas:

- Education, Society, and Culture
- International Relations – America and Asia
- International Relations – Europe and its Neighbors
