Rishi Kapoor - Personal Life

Personal Life

Rishi Kapoor is married to actress of the seventies, Neetu Singh. Initially when Rishi told his parents that he wanted to marry Neetu, they refused, as did her parents. It is famously known that Rishi went to Singh's house while he was sick and had a fever to go ask for Neetu Singh's hand in marriage. His determination did not go unnoticed and eventually both sides agreed. The couple tied the knot in 1981 after a highly publicized engagement. Rishi was 29 at the time. Today Rishi and Neetu are happily married and have two children; Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor and designer Riddhima Kapoor Sahani. Rishi is the paternal uncle of current bollywood actresses Karishma Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor.

Famous quotes containing the words personal life, personal and/or life:

Wherever the State touches the personal life of the infant, the child, the youth, or the aged, helpless, defective in mind, body or moral nature, there the State enters “woman’s peculiar sphere,” her sphere of motherly succor and training, her sphere of sympathetic and self-sacrificing ministration to individual lives.
    Anna Garlin Spencer (1851–1931)

The historian must have ... some conception of how men who are not historians behave. Otherwise he will move in a world of the dead. He can only gain that conception through personal experience, and he can only use his personal experiences when he is a genius.
    —E.M. (Edward Morgan)

It is normal to give away a little of one’s life in order not to lose it all.
    Albert Camus (1913–1960)
