Rick Astley Discography

The discography of English pop singer-songwriter Rick Astley consists of six studio albums, five compilation albums, a remix album, and seventeen singles. Astley became a global pop sensation in 1987, with his debut single "Never Gonna Give You Up", written by the trio Stock Aitken Waterman. Astley recorded two successful dance-pop albums with the songwriting trio, Whenever You Need Somebody and Hold Me in Your Arms.

In 1990 Astley left Stock Aitken Waterman, and released a more soulful album Free in 1991. Before retirement in 1993, Astley released the album Body & Soul. It is estimated that by retirement at the end of 1993, Rick Astley had sold approximately 40 million records.

Coming out of retirement in 2001 with Keep It Turned On, which was released in Germany, and then Portrait in 2005. He released a single in 2010, "Lights Out", his first single released in the UK for almost 17 years.
