Rhonda Shear - Charity Work

Charity Work

In 2011, Rhonda was the event chair and a sponsor for American Cancer Society’s Making Strides: Put on Your Pink Bra Event. Between speaking engagements, creating a giant flying bra for the RedBull Flugtag, and helping with fundraising events, Rhonda got the chance to meet with women struggling in treatment or following surgery who needed bras that were affordable, feminine, and comfortable. She was struck by their stories, strength, and sense of community. Rhonda stays connected by donating product every month to women shelter’s around the country and continuing her work nationwide with various charitable organizations that fund research and empower women.

Famous quotes containing the words charity and/or work:

Having levelled my palace, don’t erect a hovel and complacently admire your own charity in giving me that for a home.
    Emily Brontë (1818–1848)

All in all, the creative act is not performed by the artist alone; the spectator brings the work in contact with the external world by deciphering and interpreting its inner qualifications and thus adds his contribution to the creative act. This becomes even more obvious when posterity gives its final verdict and sometimes rehabilitates forgotten artists.
    Marcel Duchamp (1887–1968)
