Railway Series History

He arrived shortly after his brother Skarloey, and was the more sensible of the two engines. He was a hard worker right from the start, and when Skarloey became too ill to work, he took charge of the line on his own. Famous quotes containing the words railway, series and/or history:

Her personality had an architectonic quality; I think of her when I see some of the great London railway termini, especially St. Pancras, with its soot and turrets, and she overshadowed her own daughters, whom she did not understand—my mother, who liked things to be nice; my dotty aunt. Angela Carter (1940–1992)

    Sonia Taitz (20th century)

    Aristide Briand (1862–1932)
