The Rhaetian Alps contain the subranges of:

- Bernina Alps
- Brenta group
- Bregaglia Range
- Ortler Alps
- Rätikon
- Silvretta
The highest peak in the range is Piz Bernina at 13,284 feet (4,049 m), located on the Swiss-Italian border.
The Swiss National Park is located in the Western Rhaetian Alps.
