Rest On Me

Rest on Me is the first album by Kim Carnes. It was released in 1971 (see 1971 in music). The album has been released on Compact Disc (minus the opening song) using the alternate titles "Sweet Love Songs of My Soul", "To Love Somebody" and other titles, but all CD releases were taken from vinyl (at a slower speed). It is unknown why the original master tapes recorded for the Amos label were not used or where those tapes are now located. In the late 1970s, it was reissued on A&M Records. In 2012, it was re-mastered and made available as an internet download, complete, with the correct speed.

Famous quotes containing the word rest:

I thought when I was a young man that I would conquer the world with truth. I thought I would lead an army greater than Alexander ever dreamed of. Not to conquer nations, but to liberate mankind. With truth. With the golden sound of the Word. But only a few of them heard. Only a few of you understood. The rest of you put on black and sat in chapel.
    Philip Dunne (1908–1992)
