The 1993 Shooting
On February 22, 1993 two students were involved in a shooting in the science building during a midmorning snack break. One student was killed instantly. The shooter was part of the violent gang Reseda 13. The victim, an African American male was shot by a locker in the halls of the Science Building. He fled outside where he died and students carried him to the nurses office for further assistance. The suspect ran down the street to a local donut shop where he was arrested.
