History
The College was named in memory of Robert John Renison, 1875-1957, a former Metropolitan of Ontario and Bishop of the Anglican diocese of Moosonee. In July 2008, it gained permission to expand its name to Renison University College, reflecting its close status to the University of Waterloo.
