Renenutet - Hymn

Hymn

The Hymn of Renenutet says:

I will make the Nile swell for you,
without there being a year of lack and exhaustion in the whole land,
so the plants will flourish, bending under their fruit.
The land of Egypt is beginning to stir again,
the shores are shining wonderfully,
and wealth and well-being dwell with them,
as it had been before.

Famous quotes containing the word hymn:

The starting point of the human and the end,
That in which space itself is contained, the gate
To the enclosure, day, the things illumined
By day, night and that which night illumines,
    Night and its midnight-minting fragrances,
Night’s hymn of the rock, as in a vivid sleep.
    Wallace Stevens (1879–1955)

Every formula which expresses a law of nature is a hymn of praise to God.
    Maria Mitchell (1818–1889)
