Student Government
The Associated Student Body (ASB) in Room D-148 of REV coordinates all student activities, and oversees and approves the financial transactions for the school in accordance with California state laws. This class, known as student government, is under the direction of the Student Activities Director Jeff Wray, and its members are elected and selected for one year terms.
Each grade level picks a class president, vice-president, secretary, treasurer and two representatives to represent their grade level's interest in school decisions. The most senior elected positions at the school are the ASB President, ASB Vice-President, ASB Secretary, and the ASB Treasurer, which make up the ASB Cabinet. Candidates for a position in the ASB Cabinet are seniors, will have served at least one prior year in student government, and are elected by the entire student body.

Famous quotes containing the words student and/or government:
“Adolescents have the right to be themselves. The fact that you were the belle of the ball, the captain of the lacrosse team, the president of your senior class, Phi Beta Kappa, or a political activist doesnt mean that your teenager will be or should be the same....Likewise, the fact that you were a wallflower, uncoordinated, and a C student shouldnt mean that you push your child to be everything you were not.”
—Laurence Steinberg (20th century)
“We have passed the time of ... the laisser-faire [sic] school which believes that the government ought to do nothing but run a police force.”
—William Howard Taft (18571930)
