Extracurriculars

Red Lion Area School District's students have access to a variety of clubs, activities and an extensive, costly sports. Eligibility for participation is determined by the school board policy. In 2007-08, Red Lion Area School District spent $698,540 on extracurricular athletics. In 2010-11, the District spent $900,000 on school athletics and in 2011-12 it has budgeted $933,867 for athletics. In 2011, transportation for athletics cost $106,023. Red Lion Area School District does not charge an activity in 2011-12.

By Pennsylvania law, all K-12 students in the district, including those who attend a private nonpublic school, cyber charter school, charter school and those homeschooled, are eligible to participate in the extracurricular programs including all athletics. They must meet the same eligibility rules as the students enrolled in the district's schools.
