Red Hat Certification Program - Certifications - Red Hat Certified Security Specialist (RHCSS)

Red Hat Certified Security Specialist (RHCSS)

RHCSS is an advanced-level certification that builds on the security skills covered by the RHCE certification, and enhances it with deeper capabilities in network services security, directory services, authentication, and Security-Enhanced Linux policy management. To achieve the RHCSS certification, the student must pass three exams, EX333, a six hour (2 parts, each 3 hours) exam on Network Services, EX423, a 4 hour exam on Enterprise Directory Services and Authentication and EX429, a 4 hour exam on Security-Enhanced Linux. RHCE is prerequisite for taking any of the exams. Other than RHCE there is no prerequisite for the exams, but Red Hat recommends preparing for the exams by taking the three respective four day courses, RHS333, RH423 and RHS429.

RHCSS was launched in October 2005.

Famous quotes containing the words red, hat, certified, security and/or specialist:

    the anchor weeps
    Its red rust downward,
    Louise Bogan (1897–1970)

Every one knows about the young man who falls in love with the chorus-girl because she can kick his hat off, and his sister’s friends can’t or won’t. But the youth who marries her, expecting that all her departures from convention will be as agile or as delightful to him as that, is still the classic example of folly.
    Katharine Fullerton Gerould (1879–1944)

Faith means belief in something concerning which doubt is still theoretically possible; and as the test of belief is willingness to act, one may say that faith is the readiness to act in a cause the prosperous issue of which is not certified to us in advance.
    William James (1842–1910)

I feel a sincere wish indeed to see our government brought back to it’s republican principles, to see that kind of government firmly fixed, to which my whole life has been devoted. I hope we shall now see it so established, as that when I retire, it may be under full security that we are to continue free and happy.
    Thomas Jefferson (1743–1826)

... to a specialist his specialty is the whole of everything and if his specialty is in good order and it generally is then everything must be succeeding.
    Gertrude Stein (1874–1946)
