"Red Flag" is the second single released from the Canadian rock group Billy Talent's EP, Red Flags and second album, Billy Talent II. The single was released on September 11, 1998 in the United Kingdom.
Red Flag was originally released in 2005 as a part of the soundtracks of a number of Electronic Arts video games, including NHL 06, Burnout Revenge, Burnout Legends, and SSX On Tour. As well, a leaked demo of the song made its way across the internet. This demo was released by Atlantic Records on the Black Sampler II. Famous quotes containing the words red and/or flag:
“Every one of my friends had a bad day somewhere in her history she wished she could forget but couldnt. A very bad mother day changes you forever. Those were the hardest stories to tell. . . . I could still see the red imprint of his little bum when I changed his diaper that night. I stared at my hand, as if they were alien parts of myself . . . as if they had betrayed me. From that day on, I never hit him again.”
—Mary Kay Blakely (20th century)
“Theres an enduring American compulsion to be on the side of the angels. Expediency alone has never been an adequate American reason for doing anything. When actions are judged, they go before the bar of God, where Mom and the Flag closely flank His presence.”
—Jonathan Raban (b. 1942)
