Raymond Fernandez And Martha Beck
Raymond Martinez Fernandez (December 17, 1914 – March 8, 1951) and Martha Jule Beck (May 6, 1920 – March 8, 1951) were an American pair of serial killers. They are believed to have killed as many as 20 women during their murderous spree between 1947 and 1949. After their arrest and trial for serial murder in 1949, they became known as "The Lonely Hearts Killers" for meeting their unsuspecting victims through lonely hearts ads. The 1970 movie The Honeymoon Killers, the 1996 movie Deep Crimson, the 2006 movie Lonely Hearts, and an episode of the TV series Cold Case were all based on this case.
Famous quotes containing the word beck:
“In front of that sinner of a husband,
she rattled off
only those words
that her pack of vile-tongued girlfriends
as fast as she could,
began to behave
at the Love-gods beck and call.
this natural, charming
path of love,
paved with the gems
