Raw (TV Series)
RAW is an Irish drama television series which was broadcast on RTÉ. The show focuses on the staff at a Dublin restaurant. The first season featured six episodes shown on RTÉ Two in September 2008 and the second season of six episodes was shown on RTÉ One from 10 January 2010. Season 4 broadcasts on RTÉ One from Sunday, January 8, 2012. On August 8, 2012 RTÉ Television confirmed that the show will return for a 5th season on RTÉ One as part of the new season. Season 5 began on RTÉ One on Sunday, January 6, 2013 at 21:30, while also available on RTÉ One+1 at 22:30 and RTÉ Player. The Season 5 finale aired on 10 February 2013 with Charlene McKenna and Damon Gameau departing the series.
In April 2013, it was confirmed by RTÉ Television that Raw has come to an end and will not be renewed for another season. Prior to this announcement both Charlene McKenna and Damon Gameau confirmed that they would not reprise their roles in further seasons. On the week beginning April 15, 2013 the cast and crew were informed of the shows cancellation, some cast members expected the show to return for another season.RTÉ Television is expected to put its existing resources into the critically acclaimed crime drama Love Hate.
