Rally For The Development of Burkina

The Rally for the Development of Burkina (French: Rassemblement pour le Développement du Burkina) is a registered political party in Burkina Faso (formerly Upper Volta). It joined in April 2005 the Convention of Democratic Forces together with the Convention for Democracy and Federation and the The Greens of Burkina. The Rally for the Development of Burkina seems to have left the coalition, since it has separate election results listed. At the legislative elections, 6 May 2007, the party won 2 out of 111 seats.

Famous quotes containing the words rally and/or development:

    The bright old day now dawns again; the cry runs through the the land,
    In England there shall be dear bread—in Ireland, sword and brand;
    And poverty, and ignorance, shall swell the rich and grand,
    So, rally round the rulers with the gentle iron hand,
    Of the fine old English Tory days;
    Hail to the coming time!
    Charles Dickens (1812–1870)

    The experience of a sense of guilt for wrong-doing is necessary for the development of self-control. The guilt feelings will later serve as a warning signal which the child can produce himself when an impulse to repeat the naughty act comes over him. When the child can produce his on warning signals, independent of the actual presence of the adult, he is on the way to developing a conscience.
    Selma H. Fraiberg (20th century)
