Rachel's Vineyard

Rachel's Vineyard is an organization offering weekend retreats for women who have had abortions and others who have been hurt by abortion. The program that Rachel's Vineyard offers is an opportunity for women to examine their experience with abortion, and identify the ways that the loss that they feel abortion has left them with has impacted them in the past and present.

Rachel's Vineyard is a ministry of Priests for Life. Rachel's Vineyard has a broadly Roman Catholic ethos with a Catholic mass celebrated as an integral part of the retreat, but also runs non-denominational retreats for non-Catholics.

Famous quotes containing the words rachel and/or vineyard:

If anyone should want to know my name, I am called Leah. And I spend all my time weaving garlands of flowers with my fair hands, to please me when I stand before the mirror; my sister Rachel sits all the day long before her own, and never moves away. She loves to contemplate her lovely eyes; I love to use my hands to adorn myself: her joy is in reflection, mine in act.
    Dante Alighieri (1265–1321)

With the farming of a verse
Make a vineyard of the curse,
    —W.H. (Wystan Hugh)
