Personal Life

Lockhart was the father of author Robin Bruce Lockhart, who wrote the 1967 book Ace of Spies — about his father’s friend and fellow agent Sidney Reilly — from which the 1983 miniseries Reilly, Ace of Spies was produced.

Lockhart died in 1970 at the age of 82, but tales of his adventures in Moscow have recently returned to the public eye when Scottish professional footballer Garry O’Connor, made the move to Russian football club Lokomotiv Moscow in March 2006.

Famous quotes containing the words personal and/or life:

It is cowardly to fly from natural duties and take up those that suit our taste or temperament better; but it is also unwise to take an exaggerated view of personal duties, which shuts out the proper care of the mind and body entrusted to us.
    Ellen Henrietta Swallow Richards (1842–1911)

The touchstone for family life is still the legendary “and so they were married and lived happily ever after.” It is no wonder that any family falls short of this ideal.
    Salvador Minuchin (20th century)
