There are a lot of schools located along the highway. Among these are the Our Lady of Fatima University - Quezon City campus, Mater Carmeli School - Novaliches campus and the Main Campus of the Local University of Quezon City, the Quezon City Polytechnic University - San Bartolome.
There are also wet and dry markets located along the road like the Novaliches Bayan in Barangay Novaliches Proper and the Tungkong Mangga Market in the San Jose del Monte, Bulacan. Also along the La Mesa Watershed Gate area is the La Mesa Dam which supplies water to Metro Manila. The studios and headquarters of TV5 also lies along the highway.
