Government
Queenborough is in the parliamentary constituency of Sittingbourne and Sheppey. Since 1997, the constituency's Member of Parliament has been Derek Wyatt of the Labour Party.
Queenborough is within the Swale local government district and its electoral ward of Queenborough and Halfway. This ward has three of the forty seven seats on the Swale Borough Council. As of the 2007 Local Elections, two of those seats were held by the Labour Party and one by the Conservative Party.
The town council at one point had an Official Monster Raving Loony Party mayor.
