Q (TV Series) - Surviving Episodes

Surviving Episodes

Many of Milligan's shows were wiped, or trashed, so some of his shows no longer exist.

The Q5 series is incomplete. All of Q6 exists, as does Q7, Q8, Q9 and There's A Lot of It About.

Q5 episodes 2 and 3 both exist as 16mm black and white tele-recordings. (Episode 3 is mislabeled as episode 5 on copies circulating -- see Lost Shows). One episode of Q5 exists in colour in its original form, though it is unsure which episode number it is. A few short clips from this colour episode appeared on the documentary Heroes of Comedy: Spike Milligan.

Famous quotes containing the words surviving and/or episodes:

For my own part, I commonly attend more to nature than to man, but any affecting human event may blind our eyes to natural objects. I was so absorbed in him as to be surprised whenever I detected the routine of the natural world surviving still, or met persons going about their affairs indifferent.
    Henry David Thoreau (1817–1862)

Twenty or thirty years ago, in the army, we had a lot of obscure adventures, and years later we tell them at parties, and suddenly we realize that those two very difficult years of our lives have become lumped together into a few episodes that have lodged in our memory in a standardized form, and are always told in a standardized way, in the same words. But in fact that lump of memories has nothing whatsoever to do with our experience of those two years in the army and what it has made of us.
    Václav Havel (b. 1936)
