Punk the Clock is an American record label featuring compilations of songs by popular punk rock and pop punk bands. Three volumes have been released to date; the most recent volume, entitled Punk The Clock Vol 3: Property of a Gentleman, was released in stores on September 25, 2009.
The newest compilation includes more popular bands such as Jack's Mannequin, Lostprophets, and The Starting Line, as well as lesser-known bands such as lead singer of Anberlin Stephen Christian's side project Anchor and Braille.
Several of the songs on the compilations are remixes of past versions, such as Say Anything's "A Walk Through Hell," which was remixed in 2007 for Punk The Clock Vol 3.
Famous quotes containing the words punk and/or clock:
“When theres no future
How can there be sin
Were the flowers in the dustbin
Were the poison in your human machine
Were the future
Your future
God Save the Queen”
—The Sex Pistols, British punk band (1976-1979)
“Whoever considers morality the main objective of human existence, seems to me like a person who defines the purpose of a clock as not going wrong. The first objective for a clock, is, however, that it does run; not going wrong is an additional regulative function. If not a watchs greatest accomplishment were not going wrong, unwound watches might be the best.”
—Franz Grillparzer (17911872)
