Historically pullur was a strong congress supporting village. K.Vengal Rao was the sarpanch for nearly 20 years representing congress. In 80's when KCR entered into politics and join NTR Telugu desam pullur also switched to Telugu desam along with many other villages in Siddipet mandal. After the formation of TRS pullur is also one of the strongholds of TRS and Harish Rao. Swamicharan who was the medak dist congress president for quite some time is also from Pullur.
