Relationship Duration
Not everyone agrees the duration of a relationship indicates the success of a relationship. Some reject the idea of "till death do us part" in favor of "as long as love shall last."
Constantine and Constantine have summarized this perspective:

Other ends—growth, fulfillment, happiness, among others—are more important and may demand shorter relationships if they are given priority.
