PRS Guitars

PRS Guitars is an American guitar manufacturer headquartered in Stevensville, Maryland, founded by guitarist and luthier Paul Reed Smith in 1985.

The standard design of PRS guitars is like that of the Fender Stratocaster, though usually they are equipped with humbuckers. PRS has a reputation as a builder of high-end guitars made in the US of relatively expensive wood, though since the 1990s they have expanded production to Asia, where they build cheaper guitars. One of PRS's most notable endorsers is Carlos Santana.

Famous quotes containing the word guitars:

The present century has not dealt kindly with the farmer. His legends are all but obsolete, and his beliefs have been pared away by the professors at colleges of agriculture. Even the farm- bred bards who twang guitars before radio microphones prefer “I’m Headin’ for the Last Roundup” to “Turkey in the Straw” or “Father Put the Cows Away.”
