Providence Country Day School - Teams

Teams

There are 17 different sports played at PCD at the Middle School, Junior Varsity, and Varsity levels of competition. Athletic teams compete in either the Rhode Island Interscholastic League or the SENE division of the New England Preparatory School Athletic Conference, and each year at least 30% of the teams compete in league championships. The school's commitment to the participation in all areas of school life requires that students are members of at least two sports teams each year. Interscholastic teams include: Baseball, Basketball, Cross Country, Football, Ice Hockey, Lacrosse, Sailing, Swimming, Tennis, Track (indoor and track & field), and Wrestling.

Famous quotes containing the word teams:

A sturdy lad from New Hampshire or Vermont who in turn tries all the professions, who teams it, farms it, peddles, keeps a school, preaches, edits a newspaper, goes to Congress, buys a township, and so forth, in successive years, and always like a cat falls on his feet, is worth a hundred of these city dolls. He walks abreast with his days and feels no shame in not “studying a profession,” for he does not postpone his life, but lives already.
    Ralph Waldo Emerson (1803–1882)
