Women dancing in front of men is strictly prohibited by the Afghan culture so instead of females good looking boys are used. "Bacha bereesh" (meaning "boys without beards" in Persian) who dance to entertain men at private parties, are reported in Afghanistan, especially in the north of the country. Wealthy and powerful patrons, sometimes warlords sexually exploit them.
