Professional Certification in Finance - Certified Professional Controller

Certified Professional Controller

The Certified Professional Controller (CPC) designation is a certification program for financial controllers or comptrollers focusing on the core business and operational knowledge required by controllers of business units, manufacturing plants, or regional locations. The CPC designation addresses challenges resulting from ongoing change due to mergers and acquisitions, implementation of new systems and processes, the outsourcing of a business process, or the move to a shared service center.

Requirements are a BS/BA in Accounting, Business or Finance, and 3–5 years of experience in a director or management role within the accounting, finance, corporate transaction processing or finance functions. Candidates must complete three modules, each followed with an online proctored exam. The program is administered by the Institute of Finance and Management (IOFM).

Famous quotes containing the words certified and/or professional:

Faith means belief in something concerning which doubt is still theoretically possible; and as the test of belief is willingness to act, one may say that faith is the readiness to act in a cause the prosperous issue of which is not certified to us in advance.
    William James (1842–1910)

The relationship between mother and professional has not been a partnership in which both work together on behalf of the child, in which the expert helps the mother achieve her own goals for her child. Instead, professionals often behave as if they alone are advocates for the child; as if they are the guardians of the child’s needs; as if the mother left to her own devices will surely damage the child and only the professional can rescue him.
    Elaine Heffner (20th century)
