ProActive Programming provides a comprehensive framework and parallel programming model to simplify the programming and execution of parallel applications running on multi-core processors, distributed on Local Area Network (LAN), on clusters and data centers, on intranets, and on Internet grids.
The ProActive programming model combines the active object design pattern with futures objects. ProActive Orchestration & Scheduling and ProActive Grids & Cloud are developed using ProActive Programming.
