Princess O'Rourke

Princess O'Rourke is a 1943 romantic comedy film. The film was directed and written by Norman Krasna and starred Olivia de Havilland, Robert Cummings and Charles Coburn. Set in wartime Washington, the production was mainly shot on Warner Bros. studio backlots, but a least one scene appears to be set in the actual White House. Krasna won the 1944 Academy Award for Writing: Original Screenplay.

Princess O'Rourke was similar to the later romantic comedy film, Roman Holiday (1953) directed and produced by William Wyler, starring Gregory Peck as a reporter and Audrey Hepburn as a royal princess out to see Rome on her own.
