Priest's Grotto - Documentary

Documentary

The fascinating story of his discovery and search, as well as that of the survivors who lived in these caves, was featured in the June/July 2004 issue of the National Geographic Adventure Magazine, as well as numerous other journal articles, and an award-winning book published in 2007 that Nicola helped to write, targeted for a young adult audience.

National Geographic staff writer and photographer Peter Lane Taylor, who co-authored "The secret of Priest's Grotto" with Nicola, created a production company named Frontier Media Ventures, to help facilitate the making of a documentary, exhibit, and feature motion picture film about Nicola and the Priest's Grotto Jews.

No Place on Earth is a documentary/feature film about the Priest's Grotto story directed and produced by Janet Tobias, narrated by four real-life holocaust survivors of these caves. It was released theatrically in the US in 2013 by Magnolia Pictures and will be released theatrically in May, 2013 in Germany by Senator Films.

Famous quotes containing the word documentary:

What is a novel if not a conviction of our fellow-men’s existence strong enough to take upon itself a form of imagined life clearer than reality and whose accumulated verisimilitude of selected episodes puts to shame the pride of documentary history?
    Joseph Conrad (1857–1924)

If you want to tell the untold stories, if you want to give voice to the voiceless, you’ve got to find a language. Which goes for film as well as prose, for documentary as well as autobiography. Use the wrong language, and you’re dumb and blind.
    Salman Rushdie (b. 1948)
