Preston (electoral District)
Preston is a provincial electoral district in Halifax County, Nova Scotia, Canada, that elects one member of the Nova Scotia House of Assembly.
The riding was created in 1993 to provide representation to the area's rural black community. About two-thirds of the riding is black, mostly living in the communities of North Preston, East Preston and Cherrybrook.
In 1998, Yvonne Atwell ran in Preston for the Nova Scotia New Democratic Party and became the first black woman to be elected to the provincial legislature.
