Unlocking Characters
Some characters do not appear when you have not completed certain competitions. To unlock these characters, you need to compete in the easiest tournament and inevitably win. In this tournament, you will be forced to win every round, otherwise you will get a strike. You get 3 strikes, and if you use them all, you 'retire' and start the tournament again. If you manage to complete the tournament without having to retire, you will be displayed with a clip showing your character and the cash prize in the background. Once this happens, the characters will all be unlocked and usable in the other tournaments or just gameplay in general.

Famous quotes containing the words unlocking and/or characters:
“The mark of the man of the world is absence of pretension. He does not make a speech; he takes a low business-tone, avoids all brag, is nobody, dresses plainly, promises not at all, performs much, speaks in monosyllables, hugs his fact. He calls his employment by its lowest name, and so takes from evil tongues their sharpest weapon. His conversation clings to the weather and the news, yet he allows himself to be surprised into thought, and the unlocking of his learning and philosophy.”
—Ralph Waldo Emerson (18031882)
“Of all the characters I have known, perhaps Walden wears best, and best preserves its purity. Many men have been likened to it, but few deserve that honor. Though the woodchoppers have laid bare first this shore and then that, and the Irish have built their sties by it, and the railroad has infringed on its border, and the ice-men have skimmed it once, it is itself unchanged, the same water which my youthful eyes fell on; all the change is in me.”
—Henry David Thoreau (18171862)
