- The house was used as a filming location most famously in Stanley Kubrick's Barry Lyndon, which was filmed there before the 1974 fire.
- The Slazenger family’s love of aviation saw them invite Lynn Garrison to relocate his aerial film unit, aircraft collection and hangars, from Liexlip to the Powersourt airfield in 1973.
