Modernisation
Pontypridd is currently undergoing much building work to modernise the town. The biggest of these include:
- The replacing of the precinct shopping center with a newer, more modern, shopping centre.
- The construction of a Sainsbury's on the site of the Brown Lenox chain factory.
- Repaving of Taff Street with inscriptions of lyrics from Lost Prophets songs.
- Renewing parts of the Pontypridd Train Station.
