Player Piano - Comparison To Electric Pianos

Comparison To Electric Pianos

A player piano is neither an electric piano, electronic piano, nor a digital piano. The distinction between these instruments lies in the way sounds are produced. A player piano is an acoustic piano where the sound is produced mechanically by moving keys which cause hammers to strike the piano strings, without using electric or electronic components to create the sounds.

Famous quotes containing the words comparison to, comparison and/or electric:

It is very important not to become hard. The artist must always have one skin too few in comparison to other people, so you feel the slightest wind.
    Shusha Guppy (b. 1938)

Most parents aren’t even aware of how often they compare their children. . . . Comparisons carry the suggestion that specific conditions exist for parental love and acceptance. Marianne E. Neifert (20th century)

Suddenly I’m not half the girl
    I used to be.
    There’s a shadow hanging over me . . .
From me to you out of my electric devil....
    Anne Sexton (1928–1974)
