Career
Upon returning from the United States, he joined the family business. He first started as a shift worker, then rose through the ranks till the current position of the Group's Commercial Director and Company Secretary. Since 1960, he was closely affiliated with Unilever, and this has helped his business.
In 2003 he had an important role in launching the "Biodiesel Project", Malta's first and largest indigenous clean burning eco-friendly fuel. The project placed second in the BBC/Newsweek World Challenge competition in 2005 and receiving the top award from the technical jury headed by Shell Oil Company out of 500 projects from 80 countries.
