Pinnacle Airlines Corp. is an American holding company headquartered in Memphis, Tennessee, and is the parent company of Pinnacle Airlines. It also held Colgan Air until this company was closed down on September 9 of 2012. The company contracts its airlines to fly in the aircraft livery of other airlines such as Delta Air Lines and United Airlines. The airline filed for protection under Chapter 11 of the United States Bankruptcy Code in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York on 1 April 2012.
